This track features a 3 min introduction and brief history of the series. "The Creeper" stars Orson Welles as Lamont Cranston. Welles did the show from 1937 to 1938 when he was only 22 years old. The program was on the air until 1954 with Brett Morrison and Bill Johnstone taking over the role of Cranston. The intro and outro with the famous laugh was done by Frank Readick who played The Shadow in the very earliest broadcasts in 1930. It was so good, it was used for the next 24 years. Most people thought it was Orson Welles. More "Shadow" in our "Shadow" Playlist.
