Women of GenX and younger were all raised with the impossible standard of the "Super Mom". This mythical woman has the housekeeping and dinner creation ability of Donna Reed and is also a beast in the boardroom - shattering glass ceilings on the daily. The standard was set insanely high, and now women are left to struggle with all of the pressures and limitations that come with reality. There are only so many hours in the day, and so much one body can do - and for as far as we have come the bulk of the domestic burden continues to fall on women. Enter Ashley Connell. Ashley was angered by the disenfranchisement of women, the system way they are kept from board rooms with minimization of their professional and domestic contributions, and so much more. Some people get angry and then get over it, Ashley got angry and did something about it. She founded Prowess Project - an organization dedicated to helping women return to the workplace without losing career momentum. In this conversation she goes into what Prowess is and why it's amazing, but also so much more.
