'India by the Bay' is a Festival of India in Hong Kong from the 2nd to the 9th of February 2018. Jules chats to the organisers of this festival, Lakshmi Laroia and Sonali Laul and they share their excitement about 'India by the Bay', which encompasses music, dance, film, literature, theatre, art, food, Family Day and much more. It is a celebration of the vast and varied diverse cultures of India with a focus on the arts, food and family. There is a combination of traditional and cutting edge contemporary Indian performances throughout the festival, with a Gala Dinner celebrating the opening of the festival, led by a young, female celebrity chef cooking delicious Parsi food. One of the many highlights of the event is a Family Day with numerous performances and creative workshops for everyone in Hong Kong to enjoy. There are many famous and accomplished Indian celebrities participating in the events and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Lakshmi and Sonali share their personal experiences with working with such wonderful teams from both Teamwork Arts in India and the Asia Society in Hong Kong. They discuss their skills and talents along with the challenges that they face. This is an inspirational podcast from these talented and accomplished women who are working diligently to bring the 'India by the Bay' to the Hong Kong people.
