Booked a few hours at my pals', Hubert K and Ian Moore's studio, CTRL Room [Check out their YouTube channel » over 700 videos of Toronto's finest DJs and tons of out of town guests] for a DJ session so that I can spin some new tracks that I recently bought from Traxsource. Love the 30% off discount that they email once per month. It almost makes up the difference between Canadian to US dollars. (Still a ton cheaper than what Jimmy and I used to spend on vinyl records for ONE cut). I don't miss the vinyl days, but I'll skip that rant ; )
Got into many rabbit holes recently on Traxsource, spending too much time in that app. There is soooooooooooooo much incredible house music being created from around the world. So sweet that I've played a new fav vocal twice in this mix. I also played a dubby track twice, but that was by mistake. I was looking for a different dubby track by 'Made by Pete'. LMAO.
Not much to say on my end. 2022 was shit for me, so just trying to pick up the pieces, get my head screwed on straight and get back on my feet this year + attempting to reinvent myself again for work/money. Shit happens, but we have to stay positive and control what we can. The rest, disregard and discard.
I know that you have struggles, challenges, and trauma. I know that you can pull through and evolve into the best version of yourself that is possible. Just need a good attitude, good inputs, focus on the good, and some elbow grease.
I wish you a happy life where you succeed in the manner that you define and desire and that you're surrounded by people who love you and support you when you're down. We all need some encouragement. A few lines in a text, a video chat or phone call, breaking some bread together, or one of my favs... going to dance to some good house music together.
