This week the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts, Farts, Crafts, and Coldplay's The Scientist released the nominees for the 2022 Oscars Ceremony. I'm not sure what number Oscars it is, but that's okay because it doesn't matter. I am joined by Oscar scholar Dexter Anderson to go over our predictions, hopes, and dreams for this year's ceremony. We cover what we saw, what we didn't see, and what we'd like to see if only our eyes were not blinded by the sparkling glitz and glamour of Tinseltown. Remember when Bojack Horseman was supposed to win last year but then Sir Hannibal Lecter won instead? Remember when we continued to elect near literal demons to public office but wouldn’t allow someone to host the Oscars if they happened to tweet something unsavory a decade ago? We remember. Pepperidge Farm remembers. Guy Pearce's character in Memento does not remember. Someone will have to let him know that Polaroids are hella passe now, bro. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/moviemoviecast/support
