Welcome to ICEBREAKERS, the official podcast of the 2018 ICE Awards, celebrating the best of Atlantic Canadian creativity! Join hosts Ryan Rumbolt, Creative Director and Founder of Wonderlust, and Sarah Densmore, Account Executive for Cossette, as they interview the brightest creative minds in the region. On episode 3 we are talking to Newfoundland’s prodigal son, Donnie Dumphy! From his infamous gib rap YouTube videos for “Havin’ a Time” and “For the B’y’s,” Donnie has become the spokesperson for Value Village’s selection of windbreaker suits and for Newfound Cabs’ Mobile App. Donnie spends his days raising chickens and retro-fitting his home to be more environmentally sustainable. He produced a feature-length film about himself, entitled “How to Be Deadly,” following the 2012 success of a related 15-minute short film of the same title, that screened at Cannes and the Toronto International Film Festival.
