This year the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Dean Street celebrates its 40th anniversary. In 1976 you could get a pizza, a drink and the jazz for £3. A lot's changed since then but lot the calibre of artistes working at the club. Over the years it's presented so many incredible names like Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum, Van Morrison and George Shearing.

The man in charge of finding and hiring the talent is Ross Dines. In this interview he explains how he managed to book Gregory Porter for his first UK performance, what makes the perfect night out and why Jamie Cullum can do no wrong.
