We are absolutely thrilled and honored to welcome Angie Herbers In The Suite. We are so excited to talk with her and learn more about her story and how she got to where she is today.

Her name is synonymous with practice management, business intelligence, process, and efficiency. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Herbers & Company. She brings over 20 years of experience in human capital management, leadership, and corporate financial strategy development to advisory firms. She has worked with over 600 financial advisory firms and is still counting!

Angie is also a columnist with Investment Advisor magazine, a blogger for ThinkAdvisor.com, and a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Investment Advisor named Herbers one of the "Top 25 Most Influential People in the Advisory Industry" in 2007, 2013, and 2015.

The podcast begins with an emotional reflection of Angie's childhood. She fondly recalls the loving relationship of her parents and the 10,000-acre big ranch she grew up in Western Kansas. As she states, she 'grew up in the stars' and expressed how living in nature made her feel in tune with the universe.

Angie admits that school was hard and that in the 8th grade, she was put in a class of Applied Mathematics in which she learned how to run businesses, among other skills. As a result, by the time she was 14, she owned six concession stands and was financially independent.

The loss of her mother at the tender age of 18 was a significant turning point in Angie's life. It changed Angie's relationship with money and set her on the path to her career today. What followed was an extraordinary journey to emotional strength and professional success.

In the podcast, listeners will learn about what made her establish her own company instead of taking a position at a big firm. In addition, we will get an insight into the leadership team at Herbers & Company, the concept of Diamond Teams, the origin behind Herbers Academy, and the launch of their new app!
