Dr. Ashfaq Ishaq is a key spokesman for the world’s children. He’s developed and organizes the Arts Olympiad, the world’s largest art program for schoolchildren, and produces the World Children’s Festival every four years as an ‘Olympics’ of children’s imagination on The National Mall in Washington, D.C. A manager, scholar and philanthropist with 40 years of diverse professional experiences, the first 10 at the World Bank and George Washington University, the next 10 in international business, and the last 20 in the nonprofit sector, he’s an astute researcher, program architect, international event planner, and author.
In 1997 Dr. Ishaq founded the International Child Art Foundation. ICAF enhances academic performance and instills global citizenship by nurturing children’s creativity and developing their empathy, both of which are key attributes of 21st-century learners and leaders.
