The exciting new technologies for facial rejuvenation just keep on coming! Today we are talking about using NanoFractional Radio Frequency™ technology for facial rejuvenation, and it’s a device called the Venus Viva. Our guest this week on Inside Cosmetic Surgery Today is one of a select group of plastic surgeons in the US who are actively testing this as part of the study for FDA clearance for its use in the US. Listen as your show host, Edmonton cosmetic dermatologist Dr Barry Lycka welcomes once again Dr Jon Mendelsohn, double board-certified facial plastic surgeon from Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr Mendelsohn begins by explaining what Venus Viva is, what it is used for and the results they are seeing in early periods of use. The two doctors compare the results with current CO2 fractionated lasers and chemical peels, and highlight that there is less discomfort and less downtime but similar levels of results. Dr Mendelsohn is excited about the results and says ‘stay tuned’ as he will be happy to report back more findings as the study continues and their experience grows.
