Peter Brockway was among the first professionals to be active in the private equity industry in the southeastern United States. Over a thirty plus year career in private investments, Mr. Brockway has had a leadership role in leading private equity firms, partnering with numerous middle market companies in diverse industries to grow their businesses through numerous value-building strategies. Mr. Brockway has served on various boards at Wake Forest University for over the past decade. In 2017, he expanded his service to Wake Forest by creating and co-teaching an elective course for undergraduate Business majors focusing on Private Equity, as an Adjunct Professor of Practice. The class included having numerous leaders in the Private Equity Industry come speak in person to the class, giving students a front row seat on a growing industry and a deep understanding of the field. Students were enthusiastic about the class being exceptionally relevant and making them more prepared to begin their careers and more marketable to leading employers. Mr. Brockway has a passion for Wake Forest, its leadership team and educational mission. In this interview, he shares his impressions on wide-ranging topics involving Wake Forest, ranging from Wake Forest’s overall mission to its delivery of education in the classroom. Mr. Brockway currently serves as a Trustee of Wake Forest University and a Senior Advisor with Blue Sea Capital, a $325 million private equity fund. In addition, he serves as a Director of Boca Helping Hands and the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation as well as Chair of the Boca Helping Hands Endowment Fund. Mr. Brockway earned a BBA from Stetson University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
