Please join host Amir Oren for the first of a three-part interview with former Knesset Member and IDF Commander DR Maj. Gen. Ret.) David Tzur. David “Tzuri” Tzur began his military career as a Paratrooper, during which he participated in many raids. He later joined and ultimately commanded the Coastal Plain District Police and Israel's National Counter Terror Unit for the IDF (known by its Hebrew acronym as “Yamam). Tzur was decorated for bravery for his part in missions of the elite unit, including hostage rescue, high-risk manhunts and the capture of terrorists and armed, dangerous criminals. After serving as Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Public Security, Tzur went on to serve as Israel Border Police Commander in the West Bank, and District Commander of the Police in Tel Aviv. Tzur also served as a security and counter-terror consultant at several worldwide events, including the Olympic Games in Atlanta and Athens.
