Saniya founded codeHER, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering minority populations, in 2016, during the summer before her freshman year in high school. She has presented her work at Johns Hopkins University and will be traveling to Morocco with her team next year to initiate a program there. Saniya is a strong proponent of equality and believes that all people, no matter their race, gender, or background, deserve equal opportunities. Through codeHER, she has been able to inspire the next generation of technologists, and build confidence in young girls everywhere. In the future, she aspires to pursue a career in social entrepreneurship, particularly at the nexus of technology, humanity, and business.
