Opelika is last year's state runner-up. The Bulldogs have suffered numerous injuries throughout the season and lost three games to end up as the third seed from Region 3. However, Opelika's playing their best football down the stretch including picking up a win over region champion Wetumpka. Daphne is in their second season under former Alabama defensive lineman Kenny King, and his influence is noticeable with a gritty line that shut down Baldwin County in Week 10 to keep the Tigers out of the playoffs.
