Grow up. Stop playing around. Act your age. Stop being so silly. From the time we were little, we’ve been inundated with messages that have conditioned the playfulness out of most of us.
Then you throw in the serious business of raising kids, keeping them alive, making sure they are well fed, respect their elders, make good choices, don’t get hurt, are kind to others, get good grades, do their chores, pick up their messes, all while we rush around to get them where they need to be, care for our homes, and try to balance work, volunteering, our marriages, and a social life, while barely being able to care for our basic needs is enough to snuff out whatever ember of playfulness might still be left, hiding deep inside.
It's no wonder we feel uptight. In this episode of the Joyful Mamahood podcast, we are rekindling that little light within you that longs for things to feel lighter and more fun as we cultivate a spirit of fun within ourselves and our families.
