In this Episode Daniel and Nate talk about a question asked on a recent Bible Project Q+R Podcast about Israel and the Church.
Here's a link to the whole "Family of God" series from the Bible Project Podcast.
Here's a link to the specific episode we took our inspiration from for this conversation: E235 "Why Do Cain's Descendants Show Up After the Flood? Q+R"
What is Replacement Theology or Supersessionism? What is the difference between Replacement Theology and Covenant Theology?

Vintage21 video: "You had your chance... you blew it" Is that how God thinks of Israel and it is Christian's turn now to represent God? Or Christians have misrepresented God and it is Islam's turn.
Do you think it's important to realize and remember that Jesus and the early church movement was Jewish? How does forgetting that Jesus was Jewish set us up for misunderstanding the narrative of scripture? Have you ever spent time with devout jews, messianic jews, or christian traditions that are very aware of their jewish roots ? What do you think christians can learn from Jewish practices and holidays? Do you think christians carrying forward the celebration of holidays like Passover and the Festival of Tents would be helpful to understand Jesus and the story of scripture? What do you think the balance is between not knowing your story, knowing your story, and obsessing about having a family name and proving your ownership of it.
How far do you think we should go in weaving everything about our lives into the story of scripture? Is it ok for our holidays, days of the week, month names, etc to be rootless or echoing another story that has different answers to "Why are we here? Where are we going? Why is there so much wrong with the world? and What's the remedy?"
Where will those other stories lead us? What will the rootlessness do to us?
