How do we engage with media without internalizing negative messages? And what does the representation of women in film say about our culture? In honor of Women's Equality Day, we're talking to Dr. Lisa Funnell, who studies women and gender in pop culture. She wants the female narrative in Hollywood to reflect the real and diverse roles women play in society. But she's not just for women. She's for more complex and dynamic roles for everyone.
