Exclusive interview with UK Music Artist JohnRymer Official About JohnRymer Official: As far back as i can remember I always wanted to be an entertainer, I was always performing whether it was music (all genres) or acting or writing. My first real influence would have to be Oasis, i loved that fuckin band, a memory that will never leave me is, Me n my childhood friend used to regularly bring out the 'ghetto blaster' and basically pretend to perform the 'Whats The Story? (Morning Glory)" album by Oasis, I knew then I had to get myself a stage. As I got older my taste in music changed, the more I learned about the real world and the more I became aware that most things Iearned in school was lies, i found HIP HOP to be my teacher, the style, rawness and real talk of MCs and even though we was worlds apart i could relate, I honestly thought I had no hope in that game being a skinny british white kid with zero connections in music, so i started writing poetry about life and struggles. I looked online for places i could showcase my poetry (lyrics) and found a Hip Hop Freestyle Battle Forum called Ell Oh Crew, this would be my birth into Hip Hop, receiving feedback (and heavy criticism) from other poets from around the globe. I think it was a guy called Young God who persuaded me to start recording when he asked me to put some of my lyrics on his track over the Paparazzi instrumental, i agreed, it sucked, but it was my first hit and i was addicted. My first breakthrough onto the underground UK hip hop scene came in 2005 when I released Chav Town, from my first CD under the Alias K'N9NE entitled Itz A Doggz Life, which came with my first music video (available on youtube), i did alot of shows off the back of that song. I continued to write, record & perform for a couple of years, but my personal life just kind of exploded into madness, people close to me dying, relationships coming and going, run ins with the law, had children and never really found time for music for a few years. In 2013 I decided to get back in the studio and work on a new project, i recorded a handful of tracks and promoted them with performances locally... but as it does, life got in the way and i never released it. Last year (2017) i released the "Smoke Something, Shut Up & Listen EP" which is available via bandcamp or the store. Straight away i have jumped back into the lab writing producing and recording for my next album, 'The Noughty 90's KIDS' which will be available through all digital platform. https://twitter.com/rhymerofficial Booking: jtruk13@gmail.com Remember...KEEP GRINDING!!
