In a special feature episode, we venture to the Melbourne Fringe Festival to see the Ladies of the Celluloid Carnival, a series of screenings presented by Melbourne Women in Film Festival (MWFF). Program Curator Kirsten Stevens discusses MWFF's origins, the importance of representation in film, and gives us a brief history of the role women have played in Australian cinema.
There are only three more screenings at the Fringe Festival so be sure to check it out this weekend.
Friday-Sunday: 6:30pm-9:30pm. Meat Market, 3 Blackwood St, North Melbourne.
The 2nd Melbourne Women in Film Festival will be running 22-25 February, 2018.
