In this episode apparently Karen has been neglecting her appropriate blood sacrifices or something because seriously you guys.

In Adventures in Knitting, Karen’s Rhinebeck plans are a bit…up in the air at the moment thanks to certain civic duties, but she’s still working on the Saddleback Cardigan as well as the There and Back Again Story Scarf, and even found time to make a fez! Maggie has started her There and Back Again again, and seems to be off to the races–third time’s the charm? She’s also taught the Elfling how to knit (briefly), made some progress on a simple scarf and has been working on the Swirly Mittens, all while battling startitis.

In Geek Squee, Karen went to FanExpo (after going on a freaking adventure) and became an official SHIELD agent (no really, she has the ID and everything), and Dragon Con was this weekend so there’s tons of cosplay photos online, woo! Also we got lost of new TV with the beginning of Season 8 of Doctor Who and the first few episodes of Outlander (aka Fifty Shades of Plaid), Maggie has gotten sucked into Grimm, there’s a teaser trailer for Agents of SHIELD, and Sherlock got a boatload of Emmy awards! We’ve also got a Kickstarter campaign for Hullabaloo, a cool-looking steampunk animated film, and we’ve got a really cool development in solar technology that could turn windows into solar collectors.

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes, we’ve found a bag made to look like the door of Bag End (OMG WANT) from Forgiantica Leather as well as some amazing nerdy buttons, prints and plushies from Snooze Labs (including the 8th Doctor SO CUTE WANT SO MUCH OMG).

We’re going to be speaking at the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Fair on Sept. 13th! We’ll be on a panel with Teresa of the Canaryknits podcast, and Sasha of the former SpinDoctor podcast for a panel about knitting, yarn, podcasting and doubtless other things as well. :D Click the button below or head to http://www.kwknittersguild.ca/fair/ for more details. :D (Also yes, we’re looking at how we’d record said panel.)
