This week on the podcast, the team are joined by Ashley Wheeland, who has dedicated her life and career to civil rights advocacy both locally and nationally. Currently, she is the Legislative and Political Director of PPRM, where she works with legislators to ensure that women and LGBT individuals have access to healthcare. The crew talk about some of Planned Parenthood’s highly-publicized challenges in the current toxic political climate, as well as some of the challenges and personal fulfillment she gets out of her work on a local level.
