Der Marburger Psychologe gibt im Interview einen Einblick in die Herangehensweise der Psychophysik, die aus einfachen, aber ausgeklügelten Wahrnehmungsexperimenten Rückschlüsse ziehen kann auf die Verarbeitung der Reize im Gehirn – etwa, ob die visuelle Information aus der Peripherie des Sehens mit der aus dem Punkt schärfsten Sehens verrechnet werden und nach welchen Regeln dies geschieht.
