Need some competition in your weekend? How do 32 Volleyball matches sound? The Missouri State Volleyball Tournament kicks off November 8 at 9 a.m. inside the Show Me Center where student athletes will go head to head, determined to be the next champion team. Attend both Friday and Saturday to find out. Once the volleyball excitement has passed, don’t forget to make time to honor America’s veterans November 11. Back in 1957, Cape recognized Veterans Day with a parade of former soldiers heading west on Broadway and ending at Capaha Park. Many came to watch and honor the marching units which were led by groups from the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled Veterans organizations. Today, you can show your patriotism and pay tribute to the brave men and women who served our country by visiting the Avenue of Flags
