Joy Black is a NASM certified personal trainer, pregnancy and postpartum exercise specialist, pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach, and also works with a team of sports physical therapists at Upright Athlete in Durham, North Carolina as a pregnancy and postpartum exercise consultant.
It's safe to say that she knows what she is talking about when it comes to training through pregnancy and returning to exercise postpartum. In this episode we talk about everything from knowing if it's safe to continue exercising and training through pregnancy to what to do during pregnancy to maintain strength. Joy also discusses how to know when to return to intense training and what exactly to look out for.
