In this week’s bonus episode we sit down with Captain Gary Klein and our very own Captain Micah Klein to discuss their recent article in the Army AUSA Magazine, E-Communication and the Art of Leadership. Klein & Klein (no relation), share their view on leveraging the advantages of e-communication such as, email, social media, and file sharing to reach large audiences and rapidly share information. We’ll also discuss potential “hidden costs” to flattening an organization that can affect the decision making process, and how to effectively employ e-communication in your organization. Finally Gary and Micah share some insights for those interested in venturing into writing and publication.
CPT Gary M. Klein is a small-group leader at the Maneuver Captains Career Course at Fort Benning, Ga. He has served combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and Djibouti. CPT Micah J. Klein (no relation) is an instructor and operations officer at the U.S. Military Academy. He served combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
