"We spend so much time judging ourselves versus being ourselves," says Anne Devereux-Mills, the founder of Parlay House, Entrepreneur, Leader, Board Executive and Philanthropist.
When Anne isn't producing films on prison policy, sitting on the board of major organizations, or founding new companies, she also enjoys a private passion: exploring and playing with style.
In fact, while Anne was a single mother and the CEO of a major Marketing Firm in NYC, fashion was one of her few, private sanctuaries.
In today's podcast we learn from Anne how it takes guts to be ourselves--in both our image and our values--especially when everyone around you is pressuring you to conform. At a pivotal point in Anne's career she says, "I was not willing to sacrifice who I was for temporarily fitting in."
