In 1989 Nintendo launched the Gameboy. The handheld system allowed gamers to play on the go. It was a pocket-sized video game console, which offered pocket-sized games. In 1993 the Zelda team would prove a full Legend of Zelda adventure could fit on the tiny Gameboy screen. We’re exploring The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the fourth Season of Legendary Adventures. This week I talk about how the game got its start in a sort of "after school club" inside Nintendo.
