Valos (Shadow Raven) - John Decurro Laren - John Milo Sonder - Trevor GM – Jesse Valos and Decurro begin setting up camp while Myra is in deep meditation. Milo kicks back and relaxes. Since they rushed off they don’t have any supplies so Decurro goes out in search of food. His wandering takes him to a small pool and too late he realizes he is surrounded by giant spider webs. Trying to deftly extricate himself he hears a clicking sound and looks up to see a large spider blocking his way. Decurro looses a shot from his crossbow and makes a break for it. As he begins to run he is swarmed by hundreds of spider babies that were crawling on the ground at his feet. Drawn by Decurro’s screaming, Valos starts towards the forest just as Decurro comes bursting out of the tree line yelling….spider. At the last moment Valos sees the spider as it jumps down out of the trees and he is able to spin out of the way. Milo “force” pushes the spider away from Valos’s blow and as it begins scuttling up a tree Decurro shoots it killing it and pinning it to the tree. Valos climbs up and removes the bolts dropping the spider to the ground. Decurro begins field dressing the spider and they cook it and eat it. Valos coats his daggers and sword in spider poison and Milo gives him a vial to save more poison for future use. The party settles in for the night with Decurro taking first watch. Myra remains in deep mediation. Decurro goes down to check on the package and sees a faint bluish glow emminating from gaps in the shell. He tries to investigate and while placing his hand on the artifact a burst of energy injects itself into him and he is blown back into the water. The resonance of the shock wave wakes Milo and Valos and Milo goes to look for Decurro while Valos begins cleaning up, then he notices Myra is gone. Valos makes his way down to where the others are and says Myra is gone to which Milo just points to the other side of the artifact, where Myra is on her knees, head bowed, bathed in light. As Milo begins to approach her she lifts her head and reaches out a hand, placing it on the crack in the artifact. Another shockwave erupts from the artifact and Milo and Valos are blown back.
