Imagine for a moment that you are working in a toxic work environment. Would you have what it takes to get out? To turn your life around, take a leap of faith and find a new job that may provide a healthier, more fulfilling environment?

What if you couldn’t? What do you think would prevent you from removing yourself from this toxic environment and begin searching for greener pastures?

On today’s episode of Lessons in Life and Leadership, I am sharing my thoughts on what you should do to identify why you remain in toxic, unhealthy, unfulfilling work environments as well as how you know when you’re ready to quit your job and move on to something more fulfilling. Additionally, I’m sharing my thoughts on why many parents and educators believe high school students should begin figuring out what they want to do with their lives and the reality of what these kids really should be focusing on.

Nobody does anything if they aren’t getting something out of it.

On Today’s Episode of Lessons in Life and Leadership:

  • Identifying what fuels you to remain in a toxic work environment
  • How do deal with “kiss up” co-workers
  • Identifying the markers for when it’s time to quit your job
  • Should high school students really be expected to know what they want to do with their life and career before graduating?
