In this podcast, I discuss my meeting with Woodstock Principal Mark Smith and our discussion about Panorama Education - a company which is based in Boston and collects data from our children twice a year on social emotional learning. Is something a lie - when you know something will upset someone - but choose not to let that person know unless they uncover it themselves? I hope all parents in Cherokee County meet with their principals to discuss your child's results on a survey which measures self-management, social awareness, grit, growth mindset, learning strategies, and self-efficacy. What does this have to do with English, reading, writing, math, and science?
