In 1980 Shenzhen was a fishing village with only 30,000 residents-- today it has over 12 MILLION people; that’s 50% MORE than New York City! In China, the phrase “Shenzhen Speed” means to do something at breakneck speed. How did Shenzhen have the fastest growth of any city in the world since 1980?
