Debi Thomas, American figure skater, Bronze medalist 1988, Calgary Olympic games. First black ever to medal in the history of the winter games. Educated at Stanford University and Northwestern University School of Medicine. Orthopedic surgeon, specializing in hip and knee replacement. Most recently, featured on Oprah Winfrey, portrayed by her and news outlets around the world as someone who’s life has completely fallen apart. It has been reported that Debi has Bipolar Disorder, has gone bankrupt, and is living in a bug invested trailer with her abusive boyfriend and his two children.
