This week, Josh and Amir sat down with Mikey Hothi. Mikey works for assembly member Jim Cooper and is currently running for city council in his hometown of Lodi. He has also been doing Jiu Jitsu for the past thirteen years. They started off talking about his career in the sport, from competing, rolling, etc. Mikey then said that right now, he is taking a break from Jiu Jitsu to center his focus around politics and his campaign. It’s important to note that Mikey is a young guy, he’s only twenty-nine years old and has had an interest in politics for a long time.
