What is the dumbest mistake you ever made? Drop your cell phone in the bath? Forget to close your windows when you go on vacation? Buy a house at the height of housing boom? Choices can Overwhelm Us Big mistakes are like big choices. They too can have repercussions. But not all mistakes are serious. Some can lead to sin because of the domino effect where overwhelming sin can stampede us into making really big mistakes that then seem too overwhelming to recover from. What has been your mistakes? Do you feel like you can't recover from a mistake? Overwhelming fear, with or without a cause, can stampede us into making a mistake. It's same mentality that drives large groups of people or animals to be stampeded. The Bible includes examples of men who allowed themselves to be stampeded because of circumstances instead of taking control over their situation. People are not Animals If an animal neglects their young, the young generally dies. There is no community that supports the young. People are not like that. If a parent ignores their child, the child generally survives to adulthood. However, the child survives with anger and may do wrong in their life. They were neglected. To correct neglectful behavior, Minister Richard Sutton says the Bible wishes you to be aware of your blind spots. Know your weaknesses so you know how to overcome them. Don't say it won't happen to me. It will, if you're not aware of your situation and putting God first in your life and in the life of your family. Join Minister Richard Sutton as he talks about mistakes and how to recover from what may feel like overwhelming sin. ***** 'Mistakes Happen' - Richard Sutton For more information about our full schedule of classes and the Linder Road church of Christ in Meridian, ID, please feel free to reach out and contact us anytime.
