Electric Libertyland Ep 20: 11th Circuit Court Sets A No Good, Very Bad Precedent
Manage episode 206486618 series 2314552
On today’s Electric Libertyland, host Brian McWilliams welcomes in his brother-in-law, legal mind and conservative Democrat, Steven Betz. Brian and Steven discuss Social Justice Warriors for a bit before diving into a ruling by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals that refused to set precedent for removing immunity from a police officer. In this case, the officer banged on the man’s door at 1:30am, neglected to identify himself as an officer and then shot and killed a man in “self defense” after seeing he had a gun, even though it was pointed downwards.
Following the Circuit Court discussion, Jeff Sessions ramping the War on Drugs up again is discussed, as well as a bit of talk about James Comey’s firing.
