Cherie Gruenfeld is a 18-time winner of the Ironman Triathlon. She holds 13 world titles. For those who don't know what the Ironman entails, it is:
  • A 2.4 Mile Swim
  • 112 Mile Bicycle Ride
  • 26.2 Mile Run (Marathon)
Cherie will be 75 in July and she now runs the 70.3 Triathlons (that's half of the above) and will be doing FIVE of those this year! This was truly one of the best interviews we've gotten to do. Angela and I, perhaps because we've trained for a half-marathon together and because Angela's family includes some competitive cyclers, were just mesmerized by what Cherie has accomplished athletically. Beyond that though, she has such a quiet confidence and passion for her sport. She has carried that passion into a non-profit foundation for at-risk kids in San Bernadino county called Exceeding Expectations. Come listen to a great Super Ager example, and someone who is living a happier, longer life! Cherie Gruenfeld
