Olympian Sally Gunnell joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live as the news was breaking that Liverpool had lost out on the chance to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The government have named Birmingham as the UK's preferred city - and will now go up against cities in Canada and Malaysia in the final round.

Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, also spoke of his disappointment.
