Whenever you need strength in your life, remind yourself that you can find it within. ​Our first caller, Ingrid asks Nancy Where she can possibly find strength in her fearful thoughts of isolating herself after retirement in a few years. Nancy explains that Fear stands for false evidence appearing real. Identification becomes the first step in confronting fear. Our second caller Julia, is struggling with feeling awkward coming back from studying abroad. Nancy suggest sharing the stories and experiences with others in order to bridge the gap. A new connection is made between cultures and transitioning back becomes less of a shock. ​Our inspirational guest,Tiffanie Gabrielse, who has walked in the path of being a dwarf ( diastrophic dysplasia) explains how she needed strength to do basic things like opening bathroom doors. Although her parents were her aid, they often fought about encouraging her to be on her own by having a operation to increase her height. To Tiffanie, the hardest part was the rehabilitation. Her strength was found in her drive to want to reach that third shelf like everyone else. Her desire was not to settle for less. Our final caller, IIona has to travel often to help out her family and when this happens, she leaves other family members behind. Nancy suggest having a team meeting so that everyone is aware of each other's demands. We all have something in life that can be a roadblock. Whether it is being a dwarf, or being blind, it takes strength to press on through. By recognizing the powerful strength inside, you can overcome many challenges. It may mean asking for assistance along the way which can enable us to live Full Out.
