Hello friends and welcome to our second solo episode. In this episode we discuss the ins and outs of conventions and our convention history. I found it ironic that at the time we recorded this episode back on August 13th Greg had just come back from a con the week before (that being Animethon 2016/23), and I was in the middle of preparing for one (That being Fan Expo 2016) I also find it ironic that as of this posting (September 5th) I just finished attending Fan Expo 2016 the day before. It's funny how fate works sometimes. Topics in this episode include our personal convention history as well as a guide based on our own experiences of how to prepare for a con, and what to do and what not to do. I know this is a topic that's been covered before in previous shows (and briefly in episode 5 of this show) but Greg was the co-host and this was his choice. It's always good to get another person's perspective on a topic. I hope you all find this episode to be not only informative, but entertaining and insightful as well. The end of this episode features the 5th interview I ever did. This one is from Otakuthon 2013, and feature Monica Rial and J. Michael Tatum....and yes they are being interviewed together. I was lucky that back in the day, events like guest brunches still existed, and we were able to do these kinds of things. I really wish Otakuthon and Anime North would bring those events back. My apologies for the audio quality as I haven't listened to this interview in over 2-3 years. It's clear for the most part, but may get some lag near the end. For the next episode the topic is a music topic. This is a very special episode because it was recorded only one week later. It's also the first episode in this show to be recorded entirely with the mics instead of over skype. It features a special guest who you may have heard in passing in previous shows. This is his first time actually being on recording in person in discussion mode. I couldn't think of a better person to co-host the episode. I can't wait to edit it and release it to you all for your listening pleasure. That one will probably be released to you several days after the release of this one (depending on my work load of course) I'm also already in the early preparation stages for the recording of episode 9. Please stay tuned. There's lots more interesting and fun stuff to come. Michael
