WWE was floundering a bit, as far as money and ratings, in the fall of 2002. However, they were pumping out banger after banger on PPV. This was no exception! Raw GM Eric Bischoff introduced the brand new Elimination Chamber at this event and said that the World Heavyweight Title would be on the line in the hellacious match.
