This week Maria and Rob talk about the golden era of television trope of the sh*tty men who still got to be likeable and charismatic and the women who "got in the way" by being practical and reasonable, and how lack of diversity in writers rooms leads to writing characters that are flat and two-dimensional.
Other topics include the evolution of how we treat terrible male behavior on TV in more recent shows, as well as what we can learn from shows like Sex Education and Euphoria.
Shows discussed include The Morning Show, Sex Education, Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Euphoria. Spoiler alerts for all of the above!
