In this episode I speak with Alex Haddox, host of the Practical Defense Podcast. He has trained many styles of martial arts and specializes is giving practical defense tips for everyday habits that can help protect you and your loved ones from a the myriad of immediate threats that lurk in our society.

Alex and has been working with Grandmaster Mohamad Tabatabai to develop a new style of martial arts which is a "synergy" of American Kempo and Jujitsu. We discuss some of the intricacies of what it takes to develop a new style of martial arts and his experiences and motivation for doing it. I also learn how these two styles of martial arts compliment each other so much any why this new blend makes so much practical sense.

Keep an eye out for Alex's book that we discuss in this episode which he hopes to begin publishing in a few months.
