Time to dive into another episode of Mastering Counseling! On this episode we're talking about couples therapy for LGBTQ couples and other special populations. Megan was joined by Jennine Estes, who is a licensed marital and family therapist in San Diego, California who specializes in working with couples, specifically those in the LGBTQ community. Jennine is also the owner of Estes Therapy, which is where she practices along with several other therapists.
Jennine completed her undergraduate education at Point Loma Nazarene University and her graduate training at Alliant International University. Her particular area of expertise is working with couples and she is trained in several different theoretical approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, EMDR, and emotion-focused therapy. In addition to seeing clients, she also supervises and trains new therapists and runs a relationship blog, "Relationship in the Raw." Listen in to hear her fantastic insight!
