McConaughey claims to be a better attorney than the one who represented Christ himself. But will that moment of levity overshadow the heaviness of this film? Not a chance. This was a rough one to review (what with the slavery and graphic scenes of brutalization of human beings and all) but we still had a good time and we think you will too!
