Maverick legend Rolando Blackman joins us for this episode. One of three players to have his number retired in Maverick history, Ro takes us back to his childhood in NYC discovering the game of basketball, shares some memories of his high school and collegiate career, and reminisces on his time with the Mavericks. (Note : While we did discuss the Maverick's "Moody Madness" game of 1984, we encountered some technical difficulties during that part of the conversation. If you would like to hear Rolando discuss more about that game on other podcasts, I would suggest checking out The Athletic's "77 Minutes in Heaven" episode with Rolando, or my friend Adam Ryan's "In All Airness" podcast episode with Rolando as well. Both are fantastic episodes!) Ro also discusses the Mavericks' experience playing the 1980s "Showtime" Lakers, and some memorable games at Reunion Arena against Larry Bird and Dr. J. Of course, this conversation also includes Ro's recollection of this clutch free throws in the 1987 All Star Game, a legendary moment in NBA History!

Thank you for listening, I hope you enjoy the episode. #MFFL
