Nathaniel Raymond, the founding Director of the Signal Program on Human Security and Technology at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, takes us through historical moments of innovation to show how crisis can cause innovation, but also how innovation can cause crisis - something that can lead to new political, moral and ethical compounds. He argues that the absorption of innovation is now more important that invention itself. Through innovation and design, we can redefine what is normal.
