  • la lanceta — lancet
  • picarse (o pincharse) la yema del dedo – to prick one’s fingertip
  • apuntar – to write down, to make a note of (in writing)
  • la libreta — little notebook (used to log readings)
  • la hemoglobina glucosilada (o la A1c) — glycosolated hemoglobin, hemoglobin A1c
  • el nivel promedio – the average level
  • en ayunas — fasting
