Learn to discuss code status with the family of a patient with advanced dementia

This is a PART ONE of a dialogue between a doctor and a patient's family regarding end of life care. After suffering a stroke a year ago, the patient has lived in a nursing home and suffers from dementia. He is mostly wheelchair bound and needs help with feeding. He was brought in because he had low oxygen saturations and a fever. An infiltrate consistent with pneumonia is seen on his chest x-ray. In the first part of the dialogue we discuss CPR.
