The day is finally here, the race can hit its home stretch, the Mikes can now react to some Oscar News. Our podcast has reviewed most of the nominees in our Oscar Sprint Profile series. We’ll finish those by the end of the month with additional pods on The Big Sick, All the Money in the World, Roman J. Israel Esq, Mudbound, and next up, Phantom Thread. But do go back and reference our previous episodes. It’s easy to avoid spoilers, and we have an overload of hot takes with a mix of film appreciation and criticism regarding this year’s Oscar slate. In this episode, we go down the categories, give you some statistics that replay the race up til’ this moment, recap last year’s Oscars, and chime in with our two cents worth, which is actually more than you’ll have to pay to listen (cuz our pod is free! Get it?!). Throughout the episode you’ll hear us reference other Oscar Sprint Profile (OSP) episodes we’ve done on various award-contending films.
