Directed by Wet Hot American Summer’s Michael Showalter and produced by every comedy’s Judd Apatow, The Big Sick stars Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, Holly Hunter, and Ray Romano. We open the show with their filmographies, we lament the lack of Oscar Noms, but we’re rooting for the Best Original Screenplay nod, and we’ll cover this movie once more in that upcoming pod. Our production notes cover some of the highlights from the promotional tour including Also Mike’s impressions of Ray Romano and somehow Bryan Gumbel, and we’ll continue some production notes later on in the spoiler section.
